In the second quarter of 2025, Explorex has initiated a Joint venture proposal to a party which owns a major copper deposit in the Katanguian copper belt.
Explorex will acquire majority of interests in the project and will start with a small mining operation before the end of 2025, aiming at 400 tons copper cathodes.

Area: 2 carré (2 x 83 ha)
Location: Kakanda town (180 km from Lubumbashi, 60 km from Likasi) in the DRC (Katanga)
Copper Deposits: Mukondo deposit and Taratara deposit
Resources:
Mukondo deposit: 36.3 million tons @ 2% Cu and 1.4 % Co. A third of this resource is located within the ZEA.
The deposit extends over 800 meters X 1700 meters surface and it is mostly shallow (from the surface to 50 meters depth).
68 drill holes have been executed by CAMEC in 2008 (50 m x100 m spacing grid).
Taratara deposit: 0.165 million tons @ 1.83 % Cu and 0.9 % Co. This deposit sits entirely within the ZEA. Drilling executed by CAMEC in 2008.
Geology: Sediment hosted stratabound copper deposit type. Located within the Lufilian arc, classified within the reduced-facies carbonate ecaille tract (which host 40 % of copper in DRC-Zambia).
